North Korea turns its attention to submarines

6 October 2016.

Photos taken from satellites (image unavailable) seem to indicate that North Korea is developing a huge submarine that will be capable of launching ballistic missiles.  This would add to the nuclear capabilities North Korea already has. Despite years of sanctions, drought, floods, starvation, and everything else, North Korea still surprises everyone by its ability to produce apparently sophisticated military technology. Submarines capable of launching ballistic missiles not only threaten a vast swath of the world but can also serve as a second strike capability. And that complicates any plan to end the threat posed by the country. See “North Korea Builds Largest Missile Submarine Yet” at http://www.marinelink.com/news/submarine-largest-missile416419
